Day1: Casablanca – Rabat
Meeting you will be at Casablanca Mohamed V airport from where you’ll start a one week morocco itinerary full of contrasts and surprises. In Casablanca we visit the Hassan II mosque, biggest accessible mosque for non-muslim.
After that, continue to Rabat. Check into the hotel.
Day2: Rabat – Meknes – Fez
Breakfast at the hotel. Short Rabat Tour, the administrative capital of Morocco. Rabat is modern, spacious with nice gardens. The visit of Rabat includes the Hassan Tower, The façades of the royal palace, the Oudaya Kasbah. Transfer to Meknes.
The city of Meknes is one of the four Moroccan imperial cities beside Rabat, Fes and Marrakech.
It holds the ville nouvelle and the Medina. This was the capital of the Sultan Moulay Ismail who has built huge long walls that surround the imperial city.
Sightseeing includes Moulay Ismail mausoleum, the basin Swani, the Jewish cemetery and the old cereal storage rooms. We drive to Fez via the ruins of Volubilis.
Day 3: Fez sightseeing
Fez or Fes is the first Moroccan imperial city. It holds a wealth of attractions and described as the spiritual centre of Morocco. The Karaouiyin University of Fez is considered among the oldest in the world. Hiring a local guide in Fez is essential to have a complete visit. You start the journey with a visit of royal palace and the ceramics and poetry looking at hand made artefacts. After that, you’ll move you with your guide to explore the the Tanneries and the vibrant alleys of the old quarter. You will admire the bustling streets of the Medina where merchants open their shops and Bazars.
After an active journey in the souk & medina we take you back to your hotel.
Day 4: Fez – Merzouga
After breakfast, we depart to Merzouga desert. On the way we cross the town of Immouez, a summer resort and a town which gives out the Sais plains. And then, we continue through Ifrane, famous for the university of alAkhawayn (the brothers university), and the royal palace. Take a stop in Azrou cedar forest where we take pictures of the macaque monkeys.
After that, we head Midelt for lunch. We keep moving through the High Atlas Mountains and we cross Errachida, Erfoud which is famous for the fossil’s preparation. Continue driving the rest of the itinerary to Merzouga through Rissani. Overnight in a campfire with Berber music.
Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha gorges – Boumalne de Dades
As an option, the people at the camp will wake you up for lovely sunrise pictures over the sand dunes. Later on, you’ll
take breakfast and start away trekking to the town where you’ll set of for the valley of Dades.
Deeparture to Dades Gorges, and stop in Rissani to have a visit of the local Market. Pass via Erfoud and with end up in Todgha Gorges for lunch. We devote some time to walk among the cliffs of Todgha gorges and along the Todgha river where we exchange the heat of the Sahara desert with the cool weather of the Atlas Mountains. Day6: Boumalne de Dades – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, We drive to Marrakech. On the way we cross the town of Kalaa Mgouna where the festival of roses is taken place every year. After this, continue Ouarzazate to Ait Benhadou village. A town know for the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhadou. This Kasbah is declared a world heritage by the UNESCO.
The kasbah is considered an important movie set and many films have been shot in the place. Among themovies are: Gladiatot, lawrence of Arabia and more recent movies. After lunch we drive the rest of our way to Marrakech via the tichka Pass(2260m).
After a while, you’ll arrive at Marrakech at the early evening and guidance to your hotel.
Day 7: Marrakech sightseeing
Today time devoted to explore the red city of Marrakech. We begin the local visit with a wander in the Majorelle gardens. Take a walk to visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadyin tombs, the Bahia Palace and the busiest street of the Medina. Afternoon is at leisure.
Moreover, you might go for a walk and enjoy the open spectacle of the Djemaa el Fna main square where you attend a non-stop performance. Musicians, acrobats, story tellers, water sellers, scent of Barbecue, orange jus…all these characteristics give the place a high reputation. Night in Riad .
Day8: Marrakech- airport
Breakfast at the hotel and at the appropriate time we transfer you to Casablanca airport for your flight home.
